Looking to break into the technology industry, but don’t have a technical background? Do you also want to empower others and hone your marketing, communication, and platform management skills by working with our Assistant Director of Mentoring for a year or longer work study!
Our Assistant Director of Mentoring is looking for a Marketing and Platform Manager to help support all of the virtual mentoring programs across campus.
Roles & Responsibilities include:
- Gain in-depth knowledge and sought after skills of maintaining virtual platforms
- Improve your communication skills by answering user questions
- Practice your marketing skills by creating collateral for mentoring programs

Sample 1 - "Welcome Email": In this role you will be asked to quickly create marketing content. We would love to see a sample from you! Please create a "Welcome Email" for "Mentoring Program X" that includes a quick welcome to the program and instructions to finish the sign up process. Those "Sign Up Instructions" should include the following instructions:
- Users should click on a link to sign up,
- Fill out their profiles
- Match themselves with a mentor in the platform.
- Also include important dates for mentee training, matching deadline, and the virtual program kick off event.
- Sample 2- "Event Flyer": Next please design and upload a flyer for the virtual kick off event! Please include time, a made up tx.ag link for the event, and advertise the fun virtual game(s) or activity of your choosing!
